Ashni is a senior partner at OnCourse Vantage Pvt. Ltd.. Previously, Ashni founded Enzi, a company that helps financially challenged Indian students access vocational education financing by providing collateral to bank partners, to be released after students attain jobs post-education. Ashni is a 2010 Echoing Green Fellow and 2011 UnLtd. India Fellow. Previously, in line with Enzi’s access to education mission, Enzi executed a program at Stanford University that EFN mentored to let people invest in students’ education in return for a share in their future income for a fixed time period. Enzi was featured in various media such as Change.org, Philanthrocapitalism, Forbes, The Economist, and Wall Street Journal’s SmartMoney.com.
At Stanford she earned a masters in education and was Director of Education for Stanford’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute for four years. She was also the first Director of Gumball University at nonprofit Gumball Capital and a key member of the Executive team at Echoing Green ’07 venture Mobile Metrix. Ashni was also a contributing writer for PopTech on social entrepreneurship, international development and innovation, covering SoCap09, and has helped judge Stanford’s Social Entrepreneurship Challenge in ’09 and ’10 and Startup Chile in ’11. She was recently selected a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
